El Salvador plans to issue its first "bitcoin bond" in March, with a minimum purchase of $100

El Salvador's first bitcoin bond has a 6.5 per cent coupon and matures in 2032, according to a presentation in November. Alejandro Zelaya said El Salvador plans to spend half of the offering on Bitcoin purchases, with the rest going to other areas such as energy infrastructure and bitcoin mining.
