A record $6.5 billion was raised in crypto and blockchain funding in the third quarter of 2021

Global venture capital investments in cryptocurrencies and blockchain hit an all-time high of $6.5 billion in the third quarter of 2021, surpassing the total of $5.2 billion in the second quarter, according to a new report from market intelligence firm CB Insights on Nov. 3. The number of cryptocurrency transactions reached a staggering 286 in the quarter, down slightly from 291 in the second quarter.
