SEC chairman and some lawmakers: Need to regulate cryptocurrency trading platforms

Warren believes that because there is no federal regulation of crypto trading platforms, investors who are unable to withdraw their money due to a platform outage will have no recourse.

On September 15, lawmakers from the SECURITIES and Exchange Commission (SEC) spoke before the Senate Banking Committee about cryptocurrency regulation.
