After trying DeFi on Arbitrum, we found these problems

Ethereum famous Layer 2 project Arbitrum opened the user experience entrance yesterday evening. After a simple experience of BlockBeats today, it is found that although the adaptation of the infrastructure of Arbitrum One, such as wallet and browser, has been basically mature, the user experience and the support degree of mainstream applications are still lacking.

本文便简单总结律动 BolckBeats 在体验过程中发现的一些问题，希望能够帮助想要体验的读者少走一些弯路。

Arbitrum One

In order to avoid confusion with the team name, Arbitrum project will change the name of its main network to Arbitrum One, this open user experience entrance, is renamed the main network. Arbitrum One 其实已经上线测试有一段时间了，只是项目在之前一直处于内测阶段，只有白名单中的少量用户及开发者，才能通过跨链桥将以太坊主网上的资产向 Arbitrum One 进行转移。而本次所说的开放体验，便是取消了之前跨链桥的白名单限制。

因此，任何一个用户都可以通过官方的跨链桥，将资产迁移到 Arbitrum One，来体验 Layer 2 带来的即时确认速度与低成本交易。

如何将资产跨到 Arbitrum

虽然操作界面比较简陋，但是作为一个跨链桥的基本功能都是类似的。

这里唯一需要提示的是，由于 Arbitrum One 官方跨链桥界面的开发程度实在不够完善，以至于用户并不能直接在下拉菜单中选择自己需要跨链的币种。用户需要在界面左侧红框部分点击 Add Token，然后在下方弹出的输入框中粘贴代币的合约地址。

这一环节可能会难住一些用户，但是不用慌，我们直接点击界面左上方的 TOKEN LIST 按钮。

然后，会弹出一个更为简陋的页面。

用户在这里依然不用担心，这个页面并不是程序代码，他仅仅是一个过于简陋没有修饰过的表格，用于统计可以跨链到 Arbitrum One 的资产种类。可以看出，目前可以跨链到 Arbitrum One 的资产并不太多，只有 33 个代币。

我们选择其中的 CRV 代币为用户做一下演示。

截图中上方红框中的是 CRV 代币在 Arbitrum One 的合约地址，下方红框中为其在以太坊主网中的合约地址。用户只需要复制粘贴下方 0x 开头的地址，并将其粘贴到上个页面的输入框中，就可以选定 CRV 代币并进行后续的跨链操作了。

当然，在从以太坊主网跨链到 Arbitrum One 的过程中，用户需要进行授权与交易确认两步操作。而这两步操作依然是在主网发生的，用户承担的也依然是主网的交易成本。只有在完成了跨链操作后，后续在 Arbitrum One 上的操作才是以 Layer 2 的 gas 成本计算。

这些具体的操作步骤与其他跨链工具没有太大的区别，用户只需要按照要求进行授权、确认等操作就可以了。官方也放出了比较详细的教程：https://arbitrum.io/bridge-tutorial/，遇到问题的用户可以点击链接进行参考。

Arbitrum One 依然处于测试阶段

从上文的描述可以体会到，当前的 Arbitrum One 依然是一个非常简陋的测试版，在用户体验方面存在着巨大的改进空间。

本次开放测试虽然取消了用户的白名单限制，但是在官方支持的可跨链资产上，依然需要申请进入白名单后用户才可以使用。这也是项目团队为了尽量降低测试阶段的风险而采取的限制措施。

除此以外，当前的 Arbitrum One 相比于最终的正式版，依然还有许多明显的区别。

1. 交易量限制

依据官方公布的信息，当前 Arbitrum One 的交易性能受到了一定的人为限制，其交易容量并没有达到理论的最大值。目前提供给用户体验的交易性能，大约相当于以太坊主网的交易性能，也就是大约 15TPS。

2. 资产白名单

正如上文提到的，当前的测试版 Arbitrum One 只支持了 33 中主链资产的跨链功能。

3. 团队的管理权限

目前的 Arbitrum One 依然采用了较为中心化的运行方式。Arbitrum One 团队有权随时停止主网的运行，以便即时应对测试阶段可能出现的风险，避免用户的资产损失。

Arbitrum 的生态尚未成熟

可以看出，这个清单中已经包括了以太坊中大多数主流的 DeFi 项目。然而，用户在这里却不能直接点击项目的 logo 进入应用入口，官网在这里只是提供了一个图片而已。（Arbitrum One 的用户体验真是一言难尽。。）

律动 BolckBeats 测试了几个主流的 DeFi 应用，发现在应用的官方界面提供了 Arbitrum One 入口的应用只有以下三个：Uniswap、SushiSwap 与 Balancer。其余项目如 Curve、Aave 等，在应用界面将 Metamask 切换到 Arbitrum One 网络后会提示网络错误，暂时无法使用。

但是就在这三个目前可以体验的项目中，却基本没有流动性，用户自然也无法进行交易。

以下是 Arbitrum One 版 Uniswap 的信息查询页面，可以看出当前的交易量以及锁仓量都趋近于零。SushiSwap 与 Balancer 也是类似的情况。

当然，造成以上情况的原因，主要还是 Arbitrum One 刚刚开放体验，且整个项目尚处于公开测试阶段，出于安全性的考虑，官方也并不希望有过多的资金跨入 Arbitrum One 主网，而流动性的自然迁移也需要一些时间。

经过了简单的体验后，我们发现当前的 Arbitrum One 只是从之前的封闭测试阶段推进到了公开测试阶段。整个系统的体验与生态依然处于早期一片荒芜的阶段。在这个时期，由于上层的应用尚未完全建立成熟，普通用户跨链到 Arbitrum One 的资金并没有太好的去处。

不过生态的不成熟并不意味着 Arbitrum One 没有达到之前的预期。毕竟，公测更主要的目的是发现更多隐藏的安全隐患，并在用户真正大规模使用前解决掉这些问题。

最后，对于许多用户关心的 Arbitrum 是否会发行通证以及空投的问题，今日 Arbitrum 官方团队也进行了正式回应，明确表示暂无发行通证的计划。

Of course, the history of the crypto market suggests that anything that hasn't happened is still open to change. If you still want to migrate a small amount of funds to Arbitrum One and simply experience the Layer 2 transaction speed at present, there is no problem on the premise of controlling risks. Finally, do not forget that Arbitrum One, like other Optimism Rollup schemes, requires a waiting period of about 7 days to retrieve assets to the main network.
