According to the article, the Genesis token will be unlocked at 9am Pacific Time on May 10. Participants in the February 2017 seed fundraiser and community participants in the summer 2018 airdrop can apply for ICP tokens after that time.

Both seed round investors and airdrop participants must go through the AML/KYC process, which is relatively simple and takes only a few minutes to complete.

For the safety and security of ICP holders, the network and its users, the ICP tokens that flow around the network are important while the underlying technology is being resolved and its ecosystem is being built.

Therefore, the tokens received by the air-drop participants will be divided into 12 equal parts and distributed monthly over 12 months, according to Rulse. An equal amount of these tokens will be delivered through the Coinlist wallet each month. The first allocation will come shortly after the Genesis is unlocked. Participants can transfer tokens to a wallet or NNS of their choice to participate in governance.

At the same time, seed investors will receive all their ICP tokens on Genesis Unlock, which is distributed in a basket of 49 voting neurons. In simple terms, seed-round investors' tokens are allocated by default to a management system that controls a network of Internet computers known as blockchain and, by default, helps investors earn voting rewards. In the beginning, the system set the neuron dissolution time for seed round investors to 18 months.

Each transmitted neuron has a different "dissolution delay" configured by the neural network. This configures the minimum cycle required to understand the ICP token inside the lock. One of the neurons will have a 0 day dissolving delay, allowing the pledged ICP token to be unlocked immediately if needed (subject to applicable AML/KYC verification). The rest will be distributed on a 30-day, 60-day, 90-day basis and so on.

If you are a seed investor, the neuron has been created by NNS and is controlled by the Ethereum key you used when you donated to the Dfinity Foundation in February 2017.
