The PayPal CEO used Bitcoin to buy a pair of cowboy boots through PayPal, and posted a recording of the purchase process online.

Rhythm BlockBeats news, on March 31, PayPal CEO Dan Schulman recently bought a pair of cowboy boots with Bitcoin through PayPal, and posted the recording of the purchase process online.

The 63-year-old PayPal Holdings Inc. CEO has long been known for his love of cowboy boots and jeans , he used PayPal's latest "encrypted payment" service. The service allows customers to use cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) to purchase goods. Recently, Dan Schulma recorded a video at home, recording in detail the process of buying a cowboy boot with Bitcoin through PayPal.

As previously reported by Rhythm, PayPal has been researching new services for cryptocurrency payments for several months. Given the volatility of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, choosing when to click "buy" can be a challenge. As you can see in the video, when Dan Schulma agreed to pay 0.00540884 BTC for the boots ($299 in fiat), the BTC was worth $55,279.87. However, as of press time, Bitcoin is worth $59,179.62.

PayPal said in a statement Tuesday that it will not charge transaction fees for checkouts using cryptocurrencies.
