2020 Next Issue 8 Results: Defi vs Alpha Finance Lab and Pendle in the New Era

2020 Next is now in its eighth series, and over the past six months we've talked to 10 innovative project teams based on community interest. In 2021, the Next campaign will continue to look for more innovative projects, invite more community members to join us and listen to the voice of the crypto community.

The results of the eighth phase have now been officially announced. Alpha Finance Lab, which has been highly popular before, has successfully broken through. On the other hand, the recently upgraded Defi protocol Pendle (formerly Benchmark) was a late arrival, finally making it to the second spot on this week's hot list.

After Alpha Finance Lab and Pendle win, other projects with high popularity will still retain their momentum and enter the next phase of the competition. As the activity continues and deepens, we continue to refine and expand the content depth and breadth of the dialogue. The activity also received more readers' attention and affirmation.

Alpha Finance Lab

Alpha Finance Lab (ALPHA) is a project focused on building cross-chain DEFI ecosystem products that will capture the unaddressed needs of DEFI inan innovative and user-friendly way.

Alpha currently has two products "Alpha Lending" and "Alpha Homora". Alpha Lending is Alpha's first product, built on Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Alpha Lending's main function is to provide perpetual loans. Users can get loans and liquidity after deposing their assets in the system as collateral. Alpha Homora is the second product launched by Alpha. Through the Alpha Homora protocol, users can use leverage when participating in liquid mining.

Pendle

As a newly upgraded DEFI project, Pendle has clearly defined its goals to focus on two things: 1. Focus on tokenizing revenue; 2. It is an AMA of tradable tokenized gains and other time-decay assets.

These two functions allow the user of the loan asset to lock in the benefit and the trader to estimate the change in return. Pendle is the on-chain information that can be traded across time scales, through the Yearn Vaults return strategies to create new profits and maximize the return rate of protected assets. In addition, Pendle is an agreement that can be traded freely across the chain across time latitudes, creating a forward yield curve through tokens, thus bringing greater development visibility and efficiency to the lending market.
