Stacks 2.0 will be released on January 14th
Distributed computing network Stacks 2.0 will be released on January 14, 2021, according to a press release from Stacks. To mark this milestone, Stacks will launch a global launch on the same day.
Stacks has already been stress-tested and audits the network, and the TestNet mining competition with over 800 miners is progressing smoothly, with Stacks having completed the network capability deployment on December 15, 2020.
In April 2020, Stacks 2.0 will launch the first phase of the public beta network. On December 15, the Stacks 2.0 version of the white paper was released, describing the Bitcoin and Stacks blockchain, the STX economic model, and the new smart contract language Clarity.
