Original title: "Polkadot 2020 Annual Data Summary|100+ chains are ready to access Polkadot, 60+ testnets are online"
Original source: PolkaWorld

As 2020 comes to an end, let’s take a look at the data of the Polkadot network and ecology in the first year of its launch .

Polkadot will be launched on May 26, 2020, but the launch does not mean that Polkadot Slowdown in card development. In 2020, Polkadot added  68778  lines of code, and Substrate, the blockchain framework used to build Polkadot, added  130226  lines of code.

Part of the development belongs to Polkadot’s 18 on-chain runtime upgrades this year, and Substrate’s chain has no points Fork upgrade mechanism is supported.

Of course, Polkadot is an entire development ecosystem. There are currently over 900 GitHub repositories tagged with Polkadot.

One of the most exciting angles to observe the growth of the Polkadot network is to see the development of blockchains that are ready to be connected to Polkadot. By the end of 2020,  100+ chains are ready to be connected to Polkadot, and  60+ testnets have been launched.

Development relies on the assistance of infrastructure, tools, and integrations. In 2020, 30+ products of this type are live and 60+ are in development.

The Polkadot Treasury supports the development of the network and community. In 2020,  23 proposals received treasury funding, accumulatively receiving  118456.63 DOTs. At the end of 2020, the Polkadot treasury holds about 10205300 DOT.

Of course, the development of the Polkadot network is incomplete without staking (mortgage mining) . At the end of 2020, there were over 550 validator nodes and 7,000 nominators, with over 60% of DOT staked.
