Gary Gensler, a Veteran of Washington and Wall Street, has done in-depth research on the emerging cryptocurrency field. As CFTC chairman, Mr. Gensler was President Barack Obama's financial regulator and spearheaded the creation of new derivatives rules after the 2008 financial crisis. He also served at the Treasury Department during the Clinton administration.
