SBF, founder of FTX: I cannot control the price of Sushi, let alone speak on its behalf

Read this article in 14 Minutes
"I was entrusted with the important task of Sushi darkest hour, and now I am doing everything I can to do what is right for Sushi."

This article was translated from the latest tweet about Sushi, from FTX founder and ADVISER SBF, on 16 September 2020, with the following tweet.

"I was entrusted with the important task of Sushi darkest hour, and now I am doing everything I can to do what is right for Sushi."

Building and Fighting

If you don't care about Sushi, this is perfectly fine. I'm not making any promises about its future. This is not investment advice.

Crypto is born to be creative. Create new projects, help each other, and move forward together. Sometimes there's a problem, but you can fix it.Crypto is a decentralized consensus that crosses national boundaries and languages. It should not be politicized or factionalized. Crypto is for building, not fighting.

Sushiswap was built, it was damaged, and then a group of people put in the time and effort to restore it.Various people have been sleeping up in Discord, or on Github, to help Sushi. They gave much more time than I did, and they didn't get anything in return.

I was not the creator of Sushi, I was called here, and I am doing everything I can to do what is right for Sushi. But there are many people who are not at home at all and who are constantly attacking the people who are doing everything they can to help Sushiswap.

And I'm not the only one who feels that way.

Sushiswap has only been around for a few weeks.

Low & have spent Decentralised trading platforms rank third in volume

Low & have spent Total lock amount (TVL) ranks the fifth

Low & have spent SUSHI is the fourth most traded card in DeFi

The migration of SushiSwap was successful and multi-signatures were successfully implemented. It has real revenues-tens of millions a year-and is returning to SUSHI. And all the money Nomi took was returned voluntarily. The money is huge and unprecedented. And none of this was done under duress. Nomi says they feel guilty, and I believe them.

In another world, it might be a symbol of hope and redemption; A week ago, Sushiswap's future was uncertain at best. And for some in the DeFi space, it's a story of hope.

But for some, it is a perfect opportunity to smear a rival.

I am not defending Sushi or its past. I am not perfect, nor is Sushi perfect, nor are the other multi-signers. No one is perfect. And I can't guarantee anything about the price. But we are all here to do our best.

In private, multiple signers have told me about some very inappropriate personal attacks that have been made recently.

A rival firm had one of the signatories investigated, trying to dig up something that could discredit him and threatening to Sue him. And many of those suspected of being Nomi have not seen the actual evidence.

One of the conspiracy theories linked me, V God, Zhao Changpeng, Circle, ETH Denver and a whole bunch of other things that I couldn't make sense of. Many of us were legally intimidated by people who had never met Sushi (for what purpose?).

The staff at one of the most unfair statistics sites has attacked me in the weirdest and least ethical way I've ever seen. Some of the attacks on the project itself and on technology are simply untenable.

CoinDesk wrote an article that was completely riddled with factual errors, and there wasn't much left in the article except for these inexplicable errors. The point is completely wrong: you can either reduce Sushi production or change the Sushi unlocking cycle.

We are here to do things, to build. And some people seem to have a penchant for destroying the work of others.

I fully understand that some people are angry that Sushiswap is bifurcated. But the point I'm trying to make is that you can't branch off or replicate the future of a project. If you're so afraid of being bifurcated, how does this aspect reflect the future of your project?

I was given the job at Sushi Darkest hour. Ever since I took over the project, I've done everything I can to help it get back on its feet. And I'm not alone. A large group of people worked around the clock to help Sushiswap in his most difficult moments.

I am grateful for what they have done.

But I have a lot of other things to do -- a lot of us. I've tried to get rid of Sushiswap so many times, because I've been called in to help, and now I'm getting sprayed.

But I didn't leave. Because sometimes, when you meet these bullies, you can't give up or back down.

I'm not leading Sushiswap. No one can lead Shushiswap except the community. I am honored to be a part of it and to help it grow.

In the meantime, I need to clarify a few things.

First, I am not Sushi, nor do I speak on behalf of Sushi, nor can I lead Sushi. I was just doing what the community asked me to do, helping in any way I could.

Second, I cannot control the price of Sushi. Sushi prices are determined entirely by market buying and selling. If the community chooses to sell sushi or buy Sushi, these are their choices.

Number three: If you have no interest in Sushiswap and have no problem reading my other extra-long tweets.

Fourth, for those who have no stake in Sushiswap but want to use it to undermine their competitors, please do not delay sushiswap's continued construction.

Fifth, for those of you who are trying to attack Sushiswap, you must be afraid of something.

Sixth, Sushi is not mine, so I cannot make any commitment to the real SUSHI community. Sushi is yours. I can only do the best I can.

It's up to you to really decide where Sushiswap is going to end up. And only you can decide the price trend of SUSHI, I cannot force anyone to buy and sell SUSHI. We're just helping you do what you want to do.

But for all the attacks and denigrations we've received so far, Sushiswap is doing just fine. You can make profits from Sushibar pledge SUSHI, not hyperinflation, but real fee profits that go back to SUSHI holders. If any community or multiple sign-holders leave, I will never blame any one of them.

For now, I'm going to stay in the community, because sometimes you see hater, and you don't back down, you move on. And, if they persist, they may well discover what these haters truly fear.

So to sum up, that's all I want to say, moving on to construction. A lot of new products are coming out tonight!

Also, if you would like to be a part of the building team, please join us. There are many, many exciting things to come in the fields of Sushi, Serum and Solana, as well as other DeFi.
