The Compound community has proposed a third change to the WBTC mortgage coefficient, reducing it to 40 percent

Rhythmic BlockBeats news, July 10, according to Compound official information, due to governance proposal & NBSP; 014 did not pass, and Alameda Research again raised a new proposal to increase WBTC's mortgage coefficient from 0% to 40%, a change that would allow users to borrow other assets using WBTC. The vote for the bill now stands at 230,047 to none.

As far as I know, regarding the modification of WBTC mortgage coefficient, the community has previously initiated two proposals, 013 and 014. The former has been cancelled, while the latter has not been adopted. It seems that members of the Compound community are following closely on this issue. At present, the mortgage coefficient reduced, is likely to be passed.

Rhythblockbeats has learnt that in May, after the MakerDAO vote to introduce WBTC, the price of WBTC in circulation jumped 15 per cent in a week.
