Filecoin has launched a test of its network-mining rewards program, which could offer a total of 4 million tokens starting in early July

BlockBeats, Filecoin officially announced the Beta Net Mining Award program today, offering miners global and regional rewards totaling up to 4 million Filecoin tokens. The Tenet Award is a collaborative competition designed to stress test the network, encourage miners worldwide to participate, and hopefully help prepare miners to operate the world's largest distributed storage network.

Structure: For three weeks, miners will compete to provide as much storage capacity as possible for the network. The top 100 miners in the world and the top 50 on each continent will receive Filecoin awards based on how much storage they put into the network during the test.

Duration: The tournament will last three weeks. Filecoin officials will confirm the start date after the start date, but the race is very closeIt could start in early July. Miners are advised to be prepared from now on.

Miners can get more rewards in two ways:

The size of the bonus pool increases as the total storage capacity of the network increases.

The total pool of rewards is allocated strictly in proportion to the mine contribution, depending on the percentage of the total network storage they add.

In addition to the promised packaged storage capacity, miners must be prepared to successfully complete terabytes of real storage and retrieval deals to be rewarded. They must also demonstrate the ability to execute the entire sector lifecycle -- creating committed capacity sectors, upgrading them to store real data, and finally terminating them.

The competition will include a real-time global and regional award ranking for miners, as well as a real-time dashboard for each miner's stored computing power, transaction success rate and sector life cycle completion. Miners can also see their name (individual or company) and miner ID displayed on the list.

The rules

Filecoin will use the SDR replication certificate (very similar to the current test network structure) to conduct the test network Award program and the primary network launch. Miners should be aware that Filecoin will periodically upgrade its certification after startup.
