BlockBeats news, according to dForce's official announcement, at 9:15 am yesterday, the DeFi loan agreement lendf.me of dForce was attacked by hackers. Currently, the team is carrying out the following actions:
1. Cooperate with the top security team to conduct a more comprehensive security assessment of lendf.me;
2. Actively explore possible solutions with partners.
3. Actively cooperate with mainstream trading platforms, OTC traders and public security institutions to carry out relevant investigations, and make every effort to track the stolen funds and hackers.
According to the statement, the attack was mainly a re-entry attack using the vulnerability of the imBTC asset ERC777 standard. The callback mechanism allowed the hackers to repeatedly lend the fake imBTC as collateral, resulting in the withdrawal of assets worth about $25 million from the contract. As of press time, the hackers tried to contact us and we expressed our intention to communicate.
Yang mindao, founder of dForce, said in the announcement that he would provide further explanation to the community before 23:59 PM Beijing time on April 20, 2020.
