BitGo, the cryptocurrency hosting service, has acquired Lumina, a digital asset management platform, and launched a new generation of wallet platform

BlockBeats news: on April 16, cryptocurrency hosting service BitGo announced the acquisition of institutional digital asset management platform Lumina. According to an official announcement, Lumina's founder will take a leadership position within BitGo, and Chen Fang, former Lumina CEO, will become BitGo's chief product officer.

At the same time, in addition to acquiring Lumina, BitGo announced the launch of a new generation of wallet platforms, BitGo Portfolio and BitGo Tax. Users can access data from any exchange or wallet through the BitGo Portfolio, using a single dashboard to aggregate holdings and trading activity for all digital assets. BitGo Tax is an enterprise class Tax solution that is fully integrated into the BitGo Portfolio.

In October 2018, Lumina, a SAN francisco-based cryptohedge fund portfolio management platform, completed a $4 million seed round, led by Craft Ventures, followed by bain Capital and Dragonfly Capital. The team was revealed to have worked with Coinbase, OkCoin, BitGo and Harbor, among others.
