Read this article in 2 Minutes
BitMEX derivatives trading volume has been overtaken by won-an, OKEx and Huobi global sites.

BlockBeats news: as of March 29, BitMEX derivatives volume had been overtaken by coinan, OKEx and Huobi, according to data Shared between cryptographic traders and Microsoft AI/cloud expert Joe McCann. BitMEX's bitcoin contracts traded for $1.46 billion in the past 24 hours, while Huobi contracts traded for $2 billion, a difference of nearly 37%. The 24-hour bitcoin contract turnover was $1.77 billion, while the OKEx contract turnover was $1.66 billion.

BitMEX, once the flagship derivatives trading platform, had previously traded more than $16 billion in a single day, mostly through its original Bitcoin perpetual swap. In the past two weeks, BitMEX has seen a net outflow of 67,000 bitcoins (worth more than $400m), according to TokenAnalyst.

There are known to be a number of reasons for this, including rumours that KYC could be added to the trading platform and some blaming the DDoS attack on BitMEX on March 12, when market volatility peaked and investors were most eager to cash in.
