Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling recently certified its limited-edition luxury watches using the blockchain agreement of digital identity program Arianee, BlockBeats reported.

Breitling Top Time is a handcrafted timepiece from the 1960s that was very popular among the upper classes of that era. James Bond wore it in "Thunderball." Breitling has now released the watch again, this time with a slightly different approach. Instead of providing a certificate of authenticity, the company registers each watch on the blockchain platform and transfers them from one owner to another based on their provenance. This is a rare example of an enterprise blockchain project. Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling has released a limited-edition timepiece that has been certified by Arianee.
"The Breitling Top Time limited edition will be the first watch launched by the brand with a blockchain digital passport that confirms authenticity and ownership with a single click," the company said in a press release.
