Sweet warning! New version of BCH announced support for isolation witness and Schnorr?

Blockbeat Blockbeats news, BCH is about to receive its first upgrade in 2019. The update is somewhat confusing, as BCH adds two new features that are very similar to BTC.

According to the BCH community's upgrade plan, the BCH will undergo a hard fork upgrade at UNIX timestamp 1557921600. The upgrade will start around 2pm on May 15, 2019 Beijing time.

Two new protocol features will be added to the BCH:

-- enable Schnorr signature.

-- allow Segwit (isolation witness) recovery.

The following is not a consensus change, but it is recommended to change the BCH implementation:

Blockbeats previously reported that BTC core developer Pieter Wuille and other developers had written the implementation code and planned to include the Schnoor signature in the next BTC upgrade. The BCH community also chose to include Schnoor's signature as part of the upgrade.

At present, BCH USES ECDSA signature scheme, while the reason for upgrading Schnoor signature is basically the same as the reason for upgrading BTC before, both of which focus on the extensibility and privacy protection properties of Schnoor. Schnorr also offers a feature for wallet platforms that use the protocol: replay protection.

But according toBCH officialThe isolation witness recovery feature does not mean that the isolation witness will be added back to the BCH, but only as a feature for the benefit of the people.

Blockbeats learned from the communication of the head of the Chinese community of BCH that the BCH accidentally sent to the address of Segwit BTC could not be recovered due to a change in the upgrade in November 2018 that forced the rule of clearing the stack. In this case, the BCH developers added the ability to "allow Segwit to recover" so that a BCH accidentally sent at the time could be retrieved.
