Fluence: a decentralized database for developers

Read this article in 5 Minutes
The project is supported by coin Capital, eight-dimensional Capital, Dekrypt Capital, Badwater Capital and other well-known investment institutions. The Fluence token information has not been released yet.

Fluence is a distributed database that lets you deploy popular SQL, NoSQL, GraphQL databases, such as SQLite or Redis, in a decentralized environment. In the future, Fluence will also support more complex database operations, such as aggregate functions and stored procedures.

The project is supported by coin Capital, eight-dimensional Capital, Dekrypt Capital, Badwater Capital and other well-known investment institutions. The Fluence token information has not been released yet. On May 7th QEDIT, another developer project backed by alibaba, raised $10m.

Fluence as a whole is built on Fluence Core, which is a truth-free computing platform with virtually no latency in the request process and the same cost efficiency as the traditional cloud.

How does Fluence work

For the purpose of low latency and high concurrency, Fluence nodes are divided into two layers, one is real-time processing layer and the other is group validation layer.

The real-time processing layer is responsible for client interaction, while the group verification layer is responsible for verification computing, that is, the former requires speed, while the latter requires security.

Fluence network built a layer based on ethereum for secure data storage and dispute resolution. And based on Filecoin, Swarm, Arweave made a available data layer.

The function of the Fluence

Dealing with decentralized data can be difficult for developers. Fluence Network built a request - free distributed Network, very secure, storage capacity, real-time data processing.

Fluence allows developers to build a trust-free query layer that makes it easier to search for data on the blockchain for different applications. For example, check the token balance of the ethereum wallet.

Fluence can also be connected to other blockchains and other distributed data sources, so that developers can make a query interface so that different applications can find the data they need in these decentralized data.
