One computer can bring the entire blockchain of the TRON to an abrupt halt.

According to the latest HackerOneThe reportSaid that one computer can bring the entire blockchain of wave field (TRON) to an abrupt end.

Saboteurs were reportedly able to consume the network's CPU power in a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. "Using a single machine, an attacker could send a DDoS attack to all or 51% of [superdelegate] nodes, rendering the TRON network unusable or unusable," the report said. Potential DDoS attacks include repeated calls to deploy smart contracts and loading malicious "bytecode" (the code format accepted by the TRON virtual machine).

The flaw in the TRON wallet allows all available memory on the network to be consumed by a single computer, which can effectively break the blockchain in the meantime.

The researchers who discovered the bug first identified the problem on January 14 and were awarded $1,500 on February 1. A second reward, worth $3,100, was also paid, but the wave field foundation chose not to give further details.

In the 10 months since it first released the bug-exposing program, the wave field foundation has paid security researchers $78,800 for 15 bug reports. Twelve of the reports were flagged as "resolved" and the highest reward offered by TRON to date was $10,000.
