Creditors objected to Voyager's $1.9 million bonus to retain employees

BlockBeats news, on August 22, Cointelegraph reported that Voyager Digital Holdings' committee of unsecured creditors has filed a motion against the company's proposal to retain employees by paying them bonuses to stay with the company. On Aug. 2, Voyager Digital filed a motion in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to allocate $1.9 million to retain 38 key employees and keep the deal running. However, creditors disagreed with the motion because Voyager could not give sufficient reasons to justify the retention of the employees, and the employees were "already well compensated" while creditors struggled to get compensation.
