According to BlockBeats, on August 15, Acala community members launched a proposal to destroy 1.288 billion AUSDs from the attackers' addresses.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, on August 14, 0xTaysama posted on social media that the Poca Ecosystem DeFi platform Acala was hacked due to a suspected vulnerability in the iBTC/AUSD pool. The attacker's wallet now holds more than 1.2 billion AUSDs.
Acala responded that it was aware of a configuration issue with the Honzon protocol that affected aUSD. Acala is passing an emergency vote to suspend Acala's operations while it investigates and alleviates the problem.
