Cryptolingo DAO founder: Attacker address 1.2 billion aUSD has not been transferred, Acala or rolled back by referendum
According to BlockBeats, on August 14, the founder of Cryptolingo DAO @iamjulianac posted on social media, Acala uses Honzon Fungibility Pallets for aUSD to circulate between Acala and Karura. The Honzon protocol was created to allow aUSD to serve as a native Stablecoin and mobility source, spanning the Polkadot and Kusama multi-chain ecosystems.
The deal a loophole, the attacker addresses (26 jmecghnmggvt46sojckg34py9zfrkkccfy3gr49hrfgt2k) can transfer over 1 billion pieces of aUSD. Presumably, Acala has prevented the wallet from transferring its assets. The 1.2 billion AUSDs in the attacker's address have not yet left Acala's chain, and Acala is likely to be rolled back through a referendum. The Acala team has not confirmed a relationship between the iBTC/aUSD pool and the Honzon protocol vulnerability.
