Standard Chartered bank has announced a foray into The metasverse, buying land in The Sandbox

Standard Chartered Bank today announced that its subsidiary, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (SCBHK), has partnered with The Sandbox, a meta-cosmic project, "to create a meta-cosmic experience". Standard Chartered has become the latest big bank to enter the metaverse. The Sandbox will launch The Mega City2 land auction on OpenSea on April 28 at 21:00 Beijing time, with licensed IP including Ocean Park Hong Kong, Standard Chartered Bank and Regal Hotels Group.
