Ethereum Developers: Ethereum Layer2 Gas usage is currently less than 1% of Layer1, and will grow to 50% to 99% in the future

On November 22, Ethereum developer Ryan Berckmans tweeted that, according to Dune Analytics data, Ethereum Layer2 networks currently use about 0.5% to 1% of Layer1 Gas, and this figure is likely to grow to 50% to 99% in the next few years. So, even if the cost of Gas used by end users drops, the total cost of Gas on the Ethereum network will continue to grow rapidly.
