Google tests MPC crypto custody security system internally, with multiple financial institutions and Alphabet using the technology to protect digital assets.

BlockBeats news, October 28 — Google will unveil its Google Multi-Party Compute (MPC) security service on Wednesday at its inaugural digital assets seminar in New York, aimed at helping banks and other financial institutions custody and transfer cryptocurrencies and tokenized assets.

The product is currently in private preview, with several financial institutions testing it. Parent company Alphabet has already used it to protect its own digital assets on Ethereum and Solana. Commercial launch is planned for early 2027, with pricing not yet disclosed. The system splits private keys into multiple shards stored across different systems; transaction signatures must first pass institution-preset rule checks, and it supports the ECDSA and Ed25519 algorithms.
