BlockBeats news, October 28: Oracle (ORCL.N) launched an AI data platform for enterprise-scale AI applications. Oracle (ORCL.N) announced the expansion of its cloud AI chip collaboration with NVIDIA (NVDA.O), planning to scale up deployment of AI servers equipped with NVIDIA's next-generation Vera Rubin chips to several gigawatts, while also introducing Google TPU chips, as well as AI inference chips from SambaNova Systems and Cerebras Systems, to diversify computing power supply.
Oracle also plans to use its self-developed Acceleron network chips in some NVIDIA servers, replacing some of NVIDIA's networking products. The company stated that different AI workloads have varying computing power requirements, and a diversified chip supply helps customers choose suitable infrastructure based on performance, throughput, and cost. NVIDIA dominates the AI training chip market, but competition in the AI inference market is more diverse.
