BlockBeats news, October 27: Yesterday, Anthropic officially filed for an IPO. According to the S-1 cash flow statement disclosed in Anthropic's prospectus, from 2023 to the first half of 2026, the company has raised approximately $140 billion in cash (preferred stock + convertible bonds + SAFE agreements). Of this, $110 billion was raised in the first half of 2026 alone, including a $65.2 billion Series H funding round.
As of June 30, 2026, the company's remaining cash includes: $112.4 billion in cash and equivalents + $19.3 billion in short-term investments = approximately $132 billion (plus $2.5 billion in restricted cash). Other financing channels: a $15 billion undrawn revolving credit facility (expanded in September 2026), and up to $77 billion in partner note financing (Google $20 billion, Amazon $15 billion tied to compute milestones, Broadcom $42 billion solely for lease payments). IPO proceeds will be added on top of this.
As a result, Anthropic's cash holdings exceed those of tech giants such as Amazon, Meta, and Microsoft, ranking second only to Google parent Alphabet's $242 billion. At the same time, however, Anthropic's projected expenditure statement shows that with SpaceXAI alone, it has committed approximately $37 billion per year in compute starting December 2026, while its total compute commitments amount to approximately $780 billion to $810 billion.
