BlockBeats news, October 26 - CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost stated in a post that as Bitcoin's price has remained above $80,000 for several consecutive weeks, there has been a notable divergence in exchange fund flows between retail investors and whales. Retail investors' Bitcoin inflows to Binance have continued to rise, with cumulative inflows over the past 30 days increasing from $5.5 billion to $10.75 billion, nearly doubling and hitting a new 6-month high.
In contrast to retail investors, the amount of Bitcoin whales transferring to Binance has continued to decline. Over the past two months, whale Bitcoin inflows have dropped from $5.9 billion at the end of August to the current $3.8 billion, showing a sustained downward trend with no obvious signs of concentrated transfers yet.
Analysts believe that after a year-long decline, retail investors may view the recent rebound as an opportunity to reduce positions and exit, hoping to use the price recovery to alleviate accumulated holding pressure. By comparison, whales remain relatively cautious and have not shown a willingness to concentrate Bitcoin transfers to exchanges at current price levels. Going forward, attention should be paid to whether whales will change their current strategy if Bitcoin's price continues to rise.
