YZi Labs launches inaugural Atlas Scout program to help a new generation of university entrepreneurs gain early-stage support.

BlockBeats news, October 23 - According to official sources, YZi Labs announced the launch of the first Atlas Scout program, recruiting four students from Stanford University, Yale University, UC Berkeley, and UCLA to participate in early-stage investment projects in Web3, artificial intelligence (AI), and biotech. The program aims to give outstanding university students early exposure to venture capital, involving them in project discovery, preliminary research, due diligence, and investment judgment, and encourages them to organize entrepreneurial communities on campus and explore investment opportunities. YZi Labs will provide up to $1 million in indicative investment capacity for investment opportunities related to the program and open up its ecosystem network of more than 300 portfolio companies.

YZi Labs stated that many promising entrepreneurs often begin exploring in laboratories, open-source projects, campus entrepreneurship organizations, and tech communities before they enter traditional financing channels, and their peers who study and work alongside them often discover their potential earlier. The Atlas Scout program hopes to leverage students' own campus networks to help these early-stage entrepreneurs gain access to capital, mentorship, and industry resources. Eligible startup teams will also have the opportunity to connect with YZi Labs' EASY Residency program or further discuss investment cooperation with the firm.

The Atlas Scout program not only expands financing and resource channels for early-stage entrepreneurs but also allows participating students to gain venture capital experience through real projects, improving their project evaluation, founder communication, and investment judgment skills. YZi Labs stated that Scouts can independently carry out campus activities based on their own interests, such as organizing tech exchanges, gathering startup teams, or discovering potential investment projects, and receive guidance and ecosystem resource support from YZi Labs during the process. The program hopes to establish connections before startup projects receive widespread attention, giving initial ideas on campus the chance to develop into actual projects, while also cultivating a new generation of investors capable of identifying technological trends and entrepreneurial potential earlier.
