Seedance 2.5 adds 4K support, ByteDance first gives 20 film and television teams trial access

Beating AI News Flash: ByteDance's Volcano Engine has released Seedance 2.5 4K, pushing the previously 1080P-max Seedance 2.5 into 4K film and television production. In addition to the resolution upgrade, the new version has been specially trained to enhance characters' micro-expressions, subtle movements, and visual details. According to the company, the model also better preserves the clarity, color, and fine text of source materials during reference-based generation and video editing.

Currently, the first batch is available only to 20 film and television studios and directors worldwide on an invitation-only basis, with about 20 works already participating in trials; the earliest project is scheduled to air on satellite TV in November.
