BlockBeats news, October 23 - Bridgewater's China business unit told investors that its bullishness on gold has decreased. The Shanghai-based hedge fund stated in a letter to investors in September that it had gradually reduced its previously overweight gold positions.
The reason is that rising interest rates have pushed up the opportunity cost of holding gold, while rising oil prices have suppressed demand in energy-importing countries such as India. (Jinshi)
