BlockBeats news, October 21 - Santiment stated in a post that Dogecoin (DOGE)'s 365-day MVRV indicator is approximately 0.74, indicating that holders who bought in the past year are on average in a relatively deep unrealized loss position; XRP's 365-day MVRV is approximately 0.92, also showing that holders as a whole are in a loss state.
In contrast, the 365-day MVRV of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Chainlink (LINK) is between 0.97 and 1.04, indicating that holders as a whole are close to break-even. Santiment pointed out that a lower MVRV may mean selling pressure is nearing exhaustion and may form a historically relatively favorable, lower-risk potential opportunity zone; a higher MVRV may mean increased risk of profit-taking. This indicator can be used to observe market participants' profit and loss status and risk appetite, but does not necessarily mean prices will rebound.
