Xie Jiayin: TiDB Cloud platform was breached; Bitget only stored some public data and had already been deactivated for over two months, with no sensitive information involved.

BlockBeats news, October 20 - Bitget Greater China head Xie Jiayin disclosed in a post that hackers invaded and obtained data from PingCap's TiBD Cloud, a cloud database product. Any enterprise/platform in operation will cooperate with multiple cloud and data infrastructure service providers for different types of data storage. Almost all tech giants in the industry adopt this model.

Bitget had cooperated with TiDB, only for storing public public data, not involving any sensitive business data, and the cooperation was officially terminated 2 months ago. Simply put, the hacker intrusion of TiDB will not have any impact on Bitget and users.

Going forward, we will continue to maintain close monitoring with security partners and track relevant security developments. Further strengthen the network security management system and enhance supply chain security protection capabilities.
