BlockBeats news, October 19: Bitcoin infrastructure protocol Echo Protocol posted on social media, announcing that due to business adjustments, it will gradually terminate protocol operations. In the announcement, the official team expressed gratitude to the community, partners, and users for their long-term trust and support, and promised to complete the subsequent liquidation work transparently and responsibly.
Currently, all core businesses of the Echo protocol have fully stopped accepting incremental funds. The lending protocol has stopped new deposits, new borrowings, and interest accrual, and the strategy and LSD businesses have also stopped new deposits and new staking. The official team has now opened channels for repayment, withdrawal, and necessary asset liquidation, and calls on users to take action as soon as possible: lending users need to repay debts, release collateral, and withdraw assets as soon as possible; strategy and LSD users should initiate exits and claims as early as possible; users holding aBTC can still use the Aptos-to-B² cross-chain bridge for redemption.
To ensure an orderly liquidation, the announcement clarified key deadlines. All borrowers with outstanding debts must complete repayment before November 14, 2026; loans not repaid by then will face collateral liquidation, and the proceeds will be used to repay lenders. 23:59 (UTC) on November 19, 2026 is the final deadline for users to make repayments, withdrawals, and unstake. After that, the Echo protocol will officially cease operations, all remaining positions will enter the final liquidation and settlement process, and the platform will only retain the redemption service of the Aptos-to-B² cross-chain bridge. Because LSD and Strategy assets depend on the request time for underlying staking/unstaking, the actual time when users can claim will be affected by this factor.
