BlockBeats news, October 18: Citrini analyst Jukan stated in a post that among the three major memory manufacturers, Samsung Electronics is the most favored. Because TSMC still needs to allocate wafer capacity for Nvidia's Rubin and Rubin Ultra, it is difficult for TSMC to take on a large number of NVHBM orders, and only Samsung, with its own foundry capabilities, can meet the excess demand for NVHBM.
South Korean media previously reported that, at Nvidia's request, Samsung has decided to use TSMC's 3nm process to produce NVHBM base dies. Samsung has not completely ruled out its own foundry and is verifying whether it can produce base dies in-house when NVHBM demand exceeds TSMC's capacity.
