BlockBeats news, October 14 — According to multiple Turkish media reports, in the early hours of today local time, Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and Istanbul police carried out a joint operation in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district, arresting HEX and PulseChain founder Richard Heart (real name Richard James Schueler) and his wife. They were detained under an Interpol red notice requested by Finland at the end of 2024, mainly involving charges including aggravated tax fraud; during the operation, a large amount of cash, dozens of luxury watches, firearms and ammunition, and electronic devices were seized, with the specific amounts unknown.
Richard Heart is the founder of HEX, PulseChain, and PulseX, and a controversial figure in the crypto circle. The U.S. SEC sued him and related entities in 2023 for conducting an unregistered securities offering, alleging that more than $1 billion was raised; the case was later dismissed due to jurisdictional issues.
