Apple officially enters the smart home market, unveiling the $299 AI smart display HomeView.

BlockBeats news, October 13 - Apple has launched a new device called HomeView. This $299 smart display will become Apple's core product in challenging Amazon and Google and entering the smart home market.

HomeView will be available on November 13, primarily operated through hands-free voice commands and utilizing facial recognition technology to provide personalized software experiences for each family member. The device has no physical buttons but features a 7-inch touchscreen with an app grid layout that iPhone and iPad users will find very familiar. Apple positions HomeView as the ideal platform to showcase the capabilities of the Siri AI assistant. With a built-in camera, the device can instantly recognize up to six different users and provide personalized responses, whether assisting with cooking, making video calls with friends and family, or playing music through the speaker.

To rapidly expand its smart home market presence, Apple is collaborating with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric to launch a series of "Apple Home Collection" accessories, including indoor and outdoor cameras, video doorbells, thermostats, and smart locks. Apple participated in the co-development of these hardware products, which will begin shipping in December, with prices ranging from $199 to $399.
