BlockBeats news, October 13: Ledger said it has coordinated with German retailer MediaMarkt Saturn to suspend the sale of Ledger devices both online and in physical stores to cooperate with the relevant investigation. Previously, a German user reported that a suspected implant was found in a device they purchased. No financial losses have been reported so far, and Ledger also stated that there are no indications that its infrastructure, systems, or services have been compromised. Ledger customer service is reviewing the report submitted by the user, and its cybersecurity team Donjon will inspect the received device.
Ledger reminds users that if they have any questions about devices they have purchased, they can contact the support team through the official customer service website. Ledger will never proactively call or privately message users, nor will it ask for a 24-word mnemonic phrase. Many claims and data currently circulating online have not yet been verified, and scammers may use such incidents to carry out fraud. Users should obtain the latest information only through Ledger and MediaMarkt Saturn official channels.
