Ledger products removed by European retailer MediaMarkt's parent company

BlockBeats news, October 13: MediaMarktSaturn, the parent company of European electronics retailer MediaMarkt, has removed all Ledger products from its stores and online channels. A company spokesperson stated that it is maintaining communication with the manufacturer, saying, "We take this incident seriously." Previously, users reported that two Ledger wallets purchased from different MediaMarkt stores contained unauthorized cables and cellular modules.

Earlier today, former Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpelès publicly confirmed that a Ledger Flex purchased at Metapod in Singapore Changi Airport had a spy module implanted inside, as hardware wallet supply chain risks continue to expand.
