OpenAI gives Pro users an ultimatum: restore the 5-hour limit, or double the weekly quota.

Beating AI News Flash: OpenAI's Head of Product and Platform, Thibault Sottiaux, launched a poll to solicit Pro users' opinions on Codex and ChatGPT Work quota limits. The two options are: restoring the 5-hour usage quota limit but doubling the total weekly quota; or continuing to remove the 5-hour limit and maintaining the existing weekly quota.

On September 29, Tibo had also promised not to reintroduce the 5-hour limit. Now, however, he has made restoring the limit an option in exchange for doubling the weekly quota.

This is still a solicitation of opinions, and OpenAI has not yet announced a formal adjustment to the quota rules.
