BlockBeats news, October 10 - In response to the recent Ledger device security incident, hardware wallet retailer CryptoBilis has announced that it has temporarily suspended the sale and shipment of hardware wallets of all brands across all stores and online channels in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, and has closed its offline stores until further notice.
CryptoBilis stated that this move is a precautionary measure aimed at protecting customers. Ledger's investigation is still ongoing, and the company will also have independent experts review its own business processes. For orders that have not yet been delivered, CryptoBilis will proactively contact the relevant customers; customer service remains open as normal.
CryptoBilis expects to release further updates within 3 business days, and reminds users who have purchased Ledger devices to read its customer notice and Ledger's official security advisory, never disclose wallet mnemonic phrases or PIN codes to anyone, and do not click on links asking to connect a wallet, enter a mnemonic phrase, or install software.
