Calamos CEO Reiterates $1 Million Bitcoin Target: Expects It to Become a Standard Allocation in Global Portfolios

BlockBeats news, October 10: John Koudounis, President and CEO of asset management firm Calamos Investments, reiterated his long-term bullish view on Bitcoin, predicting that BTC will eventually rise above $1 million. Koudounis had previously presented this target at a Bitcoin event in Abu Dhabi, where he projected it would be reached by 2030; he still maintains this forecast but says Bitcoin may not necessarily reach that level before 2030.

Koudounis believes that blockchain will become an important component of future financial infrastructure. Compared with traditional cross-border bank transfers that may be delayed due to weekends, the Bitcoin network operates 24/7 year-round. He also pointed out that the assets managed by global financial advisors amount to approximately $146 trillion, and as more banks accept Bitcoin and provide collateralized lending services, even if only a small portion of a portfolio is allocated to BTC, it could bring considerable new demand.

Koudounis was once called the youngest CEO on Wall Street and currently leads Calamos Investments, which manages approximately $50 billion in client assets. The company also issues Bitcoin-related ETFs and Bitcoin investment products with downside protection mechanisms. The above views are his personal market judgment and are not a guarantee of the BTC price.
