Beating AI News Flash: AI Agents can now find other Agents to help them. Messaging infrastructure company Photon announced that it is introducing A2A (communication and collaboration between Agents) into iMessage group chats. Users only need to assign a task, and their personal Agent can find other Agents, obtain phone numbers, and pull them into the same group chat.
For example, if a user wants to organize a team outing. The personal Agent can find Agents responsible for accommodation, ride-hailing, and restaurant reservations, and have them jointly arrange the itinerary in the group. Users can view the conversation at any time and join the discussion. Photon calls this model "Agent-to-Agent-to-Person," meaning multiple Agents collaborating together with real people.
Technically, the new feature is based on the A2A protocol and its Agent discovery mechanism. The protocol was originally proposed by Google. Photon previously already supported AI Agents sending and receiving messages through iMessage, and this time it added the ability to proactively find other Agents and establish group chats.
Photon recently completed a $4.5 million seed round. Founder Daniel Tian hopes that every business can provide its own Agent for other Agents to contact directly.
