Beating AI News Flash: NetEase Youdao's office Agent LobsterAI has issued a user letter in response to Tencent QClaw's upcoming shutdown. In the letter, it criticized internal horse racing among big tech companies, stating that it will not build products with a "just do it and talk later" mindset, nor will it treat user experience and data as chips in internal horse racing. Product planning, feature iteration, and every decision should be accountable to users.
QClaw is a local AI assistant launched by Tencent in March this year, supporting remote computer operation via WeChat. Tencent announced on September 24 that QClaw will cease operations on December 24. The official explanation is business adjustment, and it provides refunds and a channel to migrate to WorkBuddy.
In fact, NetEase Youdao launched the QClaw migration assistant on the same day as the shutdown announcement. Users can import existing data into LobsterAI.
