Cointelegraph seeks buyer as monthly site visits plunge over 90%.

The report states that after Cointelegraph received a manual penalty from Google in October 2025, its organic search traffic dropped by about 80%, and the website temporarily disappeared from Google search results. Similarweb data shows that its monthly visits have fallen from more than 12 million in December 2024 to slightly more than 700,000 in early September 2026. Cointelegraph was founded in 2013 and has more than 200 employees. It has not yet responded to a request for comment.
