FT: Hyperliquid has established its headquarters in Singapore, and MAS states that it is not within its regulatory purview.

BlockBeats news, October 7 — According to a report by the UK's Financial Times, Hyperliquid Labs has confirmed that its headquarters are located in Singapore. Corporate filings show Singapore as its registered headquarters, and recent job postings also indicate it has an office locally.

However, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) had previously not considered Hyperliquid to fall within its regulatory jurisdiction. People familiar with the matter said MAS views Hyperliquid as having a "decentralized" nature and therefore does not consider the company to be within Singapore's regulatory scope. MAS also stated that it is "not aware of Hyperliquid being regulated by any major jurisdiction."

Hyperliquid is known for high-leverage perpetual contract trading, and its related products allow users to trade price movements in assets such as cryptocurrencies, oil, and stocks. Hyperliquid Labs stated that Hyperliquid is currently unregulated and has never claimed to have obtained a license or authorization from MAS.
