BlockBeats news, October 6: Ethereum Layer 2 network Arbitrum announced its participation in the Paxos-led stablecoin alliance Global Dollar Network (GDN), and its issued USD stablecoin USDG has officially launched on the Arbitrum network.
USDG has been integrated with DeFi protocols such as Morpho, GMX, Fluid, and Maple. Kraken will provide fiat and crypto asset redemption services, and platforms such as Uniswap also plan to integrate it later.
Unlike the traditional stablecoin model, Global Dollar Network will distribute a portion of the reserve asset yields to partners that promote the adoption of USDG, enabling Arbitrum and its ecosystem projects to share in the economic benefits brought by stablecoin growth.
In addition, ArbitrumDAO has received a governance proposal recommending that USDG growth be made a strategic priority, adding 100 million ARB to the DRIP incentive program, and using treasury assets to support USDG liquidity. The proposal has not yet been approved.
