Beating AI Brief: Figure AI founder Brett Adcock announced that personal AI assistant Hark will officially launch this week. The first 100,000 registered users can get the paid plan for free.
Hark's goal is to remember users over the long term and directly handle tasks for them. Its previously publicized core capability is the web operation Agent Handoff. Each time it receives a task, Handoff launches an independent virtual computer environment, including a browser, file system, and terminal. It can order food, shop, book flights and restaurants on its own, and can also find candidates on LinkedIn, send messages, and schedule interviews.
Handoff scored 97.7% in the public Online-Mind2Web human evaluation, currently ranking first, with second-place Yutori Navigator at 97.3%. Hark also organized two other web operation tests itself. Combining the results of the three tests, Hark says Handoff leads GPT-5.4 by an average of 8 points and Opus 4.8 by 2 points. However, the latter two were tested by Hark using its own evaluation environment, not third-party independent evaluations.
Hark previously completed a $700 million Series A funding round, with a post-money valuation of $6 billion, with participation from NVIDIA, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, and others. Previously, what Hark showed externally was mainly research previews and official demonstrations; this time it will officially open to ordinary users.
