动察 Beating AI News Flash: After Jev's release, AWS, Cloudflare, and Databricks have all recently followed up with decision models.
AWS launched the open-source Strands Decider 2B. It is based on Qwen3.5-2B, removes the text generation module, replaces it with a decision module specifically responsible for selecting answers, and then fine-tunes it with LoRA. In official tests, its median latency for a single decision on an RTX 3090 is about 115ms, and full training takes about 11 hours.
Cloudflare released Clef and Clef-flash in one go, respectively based on Qwen3.8-27B and Qwen3.5-9B, and fully open-sourced them. In Cloudflare's tests on Jev's official evaluation set, the Clef series surpassed Jev in 3 out of 4 task categories; Clef-flash's median latency is 38.8ms, while Jev's is 524.1ms.
Databricks, meanwhile, built this capability directly into its platform. The newly launched ai_decide can be called in SQL or REST API to classify, score, and route agents on data, and the interface is also directly compatible with the TypeSafe AI API. The official statement says a single decision can be returned in less than a second.
From developers replicating it themselves to AWS, Cloudflare, and Databricks following up, decision models are rapidly turning from a new concept into a common component in Agent infrastructure.
